How LIMING Machinery overcame remote-location challenges to deliver a world-class cement plant on a full EPC turnkey basis in Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the Belt and Road Initiative's infrastructure development in Central Asia, a local cement producer in Kyrgyzstan sought to establish a modern cement manufacturing facility to serve the growing construction market in the region. LIMING Machinery was awarded the full EPC turnkey contract to deliver a 2,500 TPD dry-process cement production line, encompassing everything from front-end engineering design (FEED) through to commissioning and handover.
The project presented unique challenges due to the remote highland location, extreme seasonal weather conditions, and complex international logistics for equipment transportation. LIMING Machinery's experienced project management team successfully navigated these obstacles to deliver the plant on schedule.
The plant is built around a Φ4.0×60m rotary kiln with a 5-stage cyclone preheater system, delivering efficient heat transfer and low specific fuel consumption. Raw material grinding is handled by a ball mill system, while clinker cooling uses a modern grate cooler with effective heat recovery. The complete line employs the proven dry-process technology route, optimized for the local raw material characteristics and climatic conditions.
Special attention was given to the plant layout and equipment selection to ensure reliable operation in Kyrgyzstan's continental climate, with wide temperature variations between summer and winter. The electrical and control systems were designed for robust performance in all operating conditions.
Equipment was sourced from LIMING Machinery's manufacturing facilities in China and transported via rail and road across multiple international borders to reach the project site in Kyrgyzstan. The project team established a comprehensive logistics plan that accounted for customs clearance, border crossing procedures, and last-mile delivery to the remote site. On-site construction was managed by LIMING Machinery's experienced supervision team, supplemented by skilled local labor.
