How LIMING Machinery designed and delivered a high-capacity crushing solution for Sichuan's rugged terrain.
A growing construction materials company in Sichuan Province required a large-scale limestone crushing facility to supply aggregates for regional infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and commercial construction. The project site's location in Sichuan's mountainous terrain presented unique engineering challenges related to site layout, material handling, and equipment accessibility.
LIMING Machinery was contracted to design, supply, and install a complete 600 TPH limestone crushing and screening plant, including all primary and secondary crushing equipment, screening stations, and material handling conveyors.
The crushing circuit employs a two-stage crushing process optimized for high-volume limestone processing. Run-of-mine limestone up to 800mm is fed into a heavy-duty jaw crusher for primary reduction, followed by a cone crusher for secondary crushing to produce the desired product gradations. The crushed material passes over vibrating screens that classify the product into multiple size fractions, with oversize material recirculated to the cone crusher in a closed-circuit configuration.
An extensive belt conveyor network links all process units, transporting material efficiently across the site's varying elevations. The conveyor system was specially designed to negotiate the site's terrain while maintaining reliable material flow.
The Sichuan site's steep topography required careful equipment layout planning. LIMING Machinery's engineering team designed a stepped plant layout that utilized the natural elevation changes to minimize material lifting requirements, with gravity-assisted flow between certain process stages. Reinforced concrete foundations were designed for the steep slopes, and the conveyor system incorporated specialized belt configurations to handle both incline and decline transport reliably. Access roads and maintenance platforms were integrated into the overall site plan to ensure safe operation and servicing.
