Crushing: The First Step in Cement Production

Crushing is the essential first step in cement production, where large blocks of extracted limestone, marl, clay, and other raw materials — some up to 1,200mm in size — are reduced to fragments small enough for grinding and further processing. The efficiency of the crushing stage directly affects downstream mill performance, energy consumption, and overall plant output.
